Don't Wing a Major Update To Your Website

I decided to rewrite this website in HTML 5 and do a bit of a redesign in the process.

If you’re doing a major overhaul to your website don’t do what I just did – make sure you’re running a complete copy of your CMS on a local computer. If I had, it would have saved me some frantic coding.

I winged my overhaul by creating a couple pages, forgetting to account for all the ranges of templates I have. When I flipped the switch with the new code I scrambled for an hour or two trying to correct my oversight. I ended up completely bloating my CSS code in the process.

Oh well. I’m sure I’m going to rework the site again shortly since I can’t seem to go more than 3 months without a new design or update.
