10 years ago - September 1999

I was single, didn’t have any kids, worked a really mundane job and lived on cigarettes, pepsi, and coffee. I barely remember much of it.

I do remember leaving Richmond to come to Philadelphia and attend art school. Life down there was the same day in and day out, much like Bill Murray’s in Groundhog Day. Like him, I eventually escaped.

I had decided to make a career out of something that I was already doing – designing websites. I wanted the money, the money and the cars, cars and the clothes. I suppose.

Now, ten years later – every day is unexpected, unpredictable and very much enjoyable. I got cars, money and clothes. Granted, I drive a 04 ford focus, have very little in savings, and most of my clothes are for work. But shit, that’s cool with me.

Who knows where I’ll be in another ten years.

(For those of you who are paying attention, I’ve been slacking with the blog because having two kids under 2yrs old is INSANE and I wouldn’t recommend it to the faint of heart)
